One of the more interesting assignments for my painting class at SUNY Purchase was to choose a subject and to execute the painting as a split-screen, depicting how two iconic artists would have interpreted the image they saw before them. I decided to do a portrait of one of my favorite artists of modern music, the rapper Eminem. The left side of the painting is how I would envision the pop art pioneer Andy Warhol would have done this portrait, where as the right side is how I would see the cubist Picasso doing this portrait during his “blue period”.

I actually had someone design this site for me; I just chose which Wordpress layout I wanted and he went ahead and added my company logo and iconography. If you like his work, you can Google IDesign; he does amazing stuff. And as far as my reason for choosing WordPress over blogger/Ning, etc. is because WordPress has a professional quality to it, it gives your website a look of authenticity, and because the layout is pre-designed and not built from scratch, it is more affordable to hire someone to map it out for you. Just my opinion, but if you’re looking to launch a quality-looking webpage for minimal cost, this would be the way I would go.

Eminem is unquestionably risen from the dead. After a span of terrible to commercial albums, my favorite artist ever is finally here again. The sixth and last songs on the deluxe version of the LP are probably my favorite singles on there.
Eminem is emphatically back. After a few years of horrible to mediocre albums, my best-selling recording artist of all time is at long last back. The second and ninth songs on the regular version of the record album are pretty much my favorite singles on there.
I’ve got to hand it to you, you did a good job. The information is very much appreciated.

I have come accross many different articles/Posts saying good and bad things about this Musician…but if we put all the personalized life style choices behind…you can not deny the quality and skill of the Music..its just fantastic
Agreed…just saw him at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC this past Monday and he was incredible live. And that “Recovery” album is his best in a decade; he’s definitely one of the more brilliant musicians out there, regardless if you agree with everything he says or not.

I couldn’t agree more…”Encore” and “Relapse” were disappointing by Em’s standards, so it was refreshing to see him return to form on “Recovery”. I think part of what helped was him getting away from Dre’s stale production and working with other producers. In fact, the only song on the new album that I DIDN’T like was the one that Dre co-produced. If that’s the best he can muster, he needs to hold off on releasing that “Detox” album because his beats sound like it’s still 2000.

Yea, that was a great idea to sample Black Sabbath on the 6th track (and as we know Ozzy has had a lifelong struggle with addiction, so in Em’s case it made sense to make that connection). And the “Untitled” track that Havoc produced is crazy; Em went off on that beat and demonstrated why he’s still one of the sharpest lyricists that we have. I loved the whole album front to back to be honest (not counting that repetitive Dre beat–track 13), and I think it’s his most fully realized album since “The Marshall Mathers LP”, and his best effort since at least “The Eminem Show”. I’m happy he’s clean and back to what he does best…
